To put it in simple words…the unauthorised replicas of legitimate beauty products, they are designed to mimic the real thing and use prices that see ‘TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE’ . You’ve probably seen them pop up on social media and online marketplaces and also at street markets.

Now…you might be wondering Why Are These Products So Common?????

It come down to one thing which is demand; everyone loves a deal (me included) and the beauty industry is no exception. Unfortunately these deals come at a cost; fake cosmetics are produced without any regulation meaning there is no guarantee of safety in fact they often contain harmful substances like heavy metals, bacteria and even industrial chemicals.

But this isn’t just about individual health risks, the counterfeit beauty industry is part of a larger illegal network that fuels organisations and undermines legitimate brands; its a global issue with serious consequences and this is why I created Safeglam. You can spot the fakes and make informed choices.
